We're hiring an Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager in our DC office!

The FP&A Manager plays a critical role in helping the company understand its financial performance and plan for the future. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while partnering closely with leaders across the organization to provide insights that drive better decisions.

As CYM continues its rapid expansion across markets, the FP&A Manager will help build scalable financial planning processes, develop reporting and dashboards that increase visibility into performance, and support capital planning for new shop openings. This role sits at the center of finance and operations and will translate financial data into clear insights that support growth.

The ideal candidate has strong financial modeling skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys partnering with teams across the business to improve performance. You are comfortable working with large datasets, building tools and reports that simplify complex information, and helping leaders understand the financial impact of their decisions.

Your core responsibilities will be:

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Own the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes, partnering with leaders across operations, development, and corporate teams to build accurate financial plans. 
  • Performance Analysis: Develop clear reporting and analysis on sales, labor, food costs, and other key operating metrics to help leadership understand business performance and identify opportunities.
  • Growth & Development Modeling: Support financial modeling for new shop openings, including build costs, ramp assumptions, and return analysis to guide expansion decisions.
  • Management Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and monthly reporting packages that provide clear insights into performance across shops and corporate functions.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Partner with Operations, Development, and HR to analyze initiatives, evaluate investments, and quantify the financial impact of strategic decisions.
  • Process & Tool Development: Continuously improve financial planning tools, reporting processes, and data models to support a rapidly growing multi-market business.
  • Investor & Leadership Support: Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, investors, and leadership that clearly communicate company performance and outlook.

You’ll be a great addition to the CYM team if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or similar analytical roles. Experience in restaurant, retail, or other multi-unit consumer businesses is preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, with experience building budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
  • Experience building reporting and dashboards that track key business metrics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with both finance and non-finance teams.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ownership of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a continuous improvement mindset.
